Welcome to the Rochdale Local Government branch of UNISON, the Trade Union for Public Sector employees. We have over 4,500 members working for the Council, Schools, Colleges, RBH, Link 4 Life, and Impact Partnership. The Branch also represents members in the voluntary sector in Rochdale who provide services to the public.

UNISON is Britain's most effective trade union, representing 1.3 million people working in the UK's public services. We negotiate better pay and conditions, help individuals in trouble and campaign for a safer, fairer society.

On your own, you cannot defend yourself from job insecurity or stress, or improve your pay and conditions. You need the backing of a strong union for that.

Our full compliment of Officers, Stewards and Health and Safety Representatives enables the branch office to provide informative and expert advice on a wide range of issues:
